Getting involved with community theatre and local performing arts provides tremendous opportunities to meet new people and share in the wonder of creative craft. We also stage social events throughout the year, bringing people together who share a passion for performing arts, creativity and fun.

Performance Opportunities
There are several performance opportunities available throughout the year, usually comprising one major production (Pantomime, musical or stage play) and several smaller productions (muscial performances, sketch shows, improv shows etc).
We give local performers of all ages and experience levels the opportunity to participate and there will be something for everyone throughout the year. Major productions are staged at either the Red Earth Arts Precinct, a world class facility equivalent to theatres in major cities Australia wide, or the Dampier Theatre. Smaller performances are staged all over the City of Karratha area including local venues, community festivals and halls.
Casting is usually via an audition process to which members are given advanced and preferential access. Anyone can register to audition for a performance however must become a full member on or before their audition for insurance purposes (this includes virtual or video auditions, auditionees who do not register as members by the audition date, submission date or advised deadline may be ineligible for consideration).
Non-performing roles are filled by an expressions of interest process, there are many ways to get involved including Stage Managing, Prompting, Lighting, Sound, Costumes, Set Building etc.
Productions involve participation in rehearsals , technical/dress runs and the performance itself, other activities can include set building, prop making and fundraising.
Workshops
Members can access a range of skill development workshops throughout the year, often at no or very low cost.
We partner with arts organisations, local and visiting artists to facilitate workshops for adult adults and youth in a range of performing arts diciplines.
Check out our past and upcoming workshops!
Social Events
We like bringing members together at social events throughout the year to just simply have fun and share each other’s company. Members and their guests are invited to formal and informal get-togethers where we can share our love of theatre, performance and life in the Pilbara! These are posted on our website, Facebook page and sent via email.
